16-yr-old girl raped by 8 men for 14 hours in Maharashtra village
A minor girl was raped by eight men in a village in the Palghar district of Maharashtra on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday. The accused raped the girl in an unoccupied bungalow before taking her to the seashore, where they sexually assaulted her again.

A spokesperson for the Palghar district rural police said: ‘A case of gang rape has been registered against the accused at the Satpati police station.’

Based on the complaint, the police arrested the eight accused in the early hours of Sunday morning and registered a case against them under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections, including 376 (D) (gang-rape), 366 (A) (procuration of minor girl), 341 (wrongful restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, he said.
