Who is Humayun Dilawar, A complete story behind leaked obscene video

The Additional District Judge ADSJ Humayun Dilawar has gained prominence in Pakistan following his conviction and sentencing of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan to three years in prison in the Toshakhana case.

Dilawar not only found Khan guilty of "corrupt practices" in the Toshakhana case but also imposed a fine of Rs 100,000 on him. Shortly after delivering the verdict, which included the order for Khan's arrest at his Lahore residence, Dilawar departed for London.

Judge Dilawar went to London with his family to participate in a University of Hull judicial conference from August 5 to 13, as reported by Pakistan's ARY News.

Initially not on the attendee list, his name was added on August 4 based on the Islamabad High Court Chief Justice's recommendation. The High Court's registrar communicated this to the session judge via a letter on August 4.

Who is Judge Humayun Dilawar?

Humayun Dilawar, who previously served as a judge in a gender-based violence court, was later transferred to the session court. He served on the Gender Discrimination Court from April 1, 2022 to April 13, 2023.

According to The News report, Judge Dilawar handed down death sentences to seven people and life sentences to eleven people in separate cases during the trial phase last year.

During his tenure, he presided over 1,322 cases and exceeded his case management goal of 1,235 points by accumulating 1,717 points through hearings and sentencing.

Dilawar, 45, hails from Pakistan and rose to prominence due to his involvement in the Toshakhana Case, which led to the conviction of former Prime Minister Imran Khan with a three-year prison sentence and a fine of Rs 1 lakh. . Imran Khan was to be held at Adiala jail in Rawalpindi.

Married to Ayesha Dilawar, he is the father of three children: two sons and a daughter. Most of his family members are also in the legal profession. His law experience has been consistent over the years, but his reputation has taken a hit due to viral Facebook posts. After being found guilty, he fled to the UK, citing his attendance at the Judicial Training on Human Rights from 5-13 August. The authenticity of this claim is debatable.

Imran Khan's supporters have been appealing to the authorities for his release, urging that his statements be reconsidered. However, the court has already made his decision, indicating that Imran Khan must face the consequences of his actions during his tenure as Prime Minister of Pakistan.
