Very Tragic, Incident: 4-year-old child raped by school principal's driver in Hyderabad
In a shocking incident, a four-year-old girl was allegedly sexually abused by the driver of a school principal’s car in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills.
The driver allegedly sexually assaulted the 4-year-old girl for the past two months. The girl’s parents noted behavioural changes such as not being able to respond if asked a question.
The accused, identified as Rajini Kumar, worked as a driver for the principal of the DAV school in Banjara Hills. Kumar reportedly entered the school’s digital classroom frequently and it is alleged that he misbehaved with female students by touching them inappropriately.
According to the Indian Express, the girl opened up to her mother on Monday when she was asked about various things about her change in behaviour. She was taken to school the next day, where the girl herself pointed out the accused, after which her parents filed a complaint with the Banjara Hills police. The accused was arrested at the school on Tuesday.
The Hyderabad police said that the accused was arrested by the police on Tuesday and a case has been registered against him under sections 364, 376 (a) (b) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the POSCO Act.
On Tuesday night, parents of children studying at the DAV school protested at the Banjara Hills Police Station alleging police inaction.
BV Chandramouli, a parent of a student studying at the school, posted on Twitter tagging the Telangana DGP, ”Sir, I am the parent of the DAV school at Scholl in Banjara Hills, the lead driver raped LKG, 5 year old girl , all the parents came to Banjara Hills PS but the police who support the director want justice”.
