It stretches up to 1.5 km above sea level in Badaun, Jaunpur, Begusarai, Berhampur, and then extends eastward to Manipur.

The Meteorological Department expects heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated parts of Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, and Meghalaya today. The rainfall in these states is predicted to range from 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm.
