Man held for sexually abusing woman in Delhi
A man has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a 30-year-old woman and holding her captive, police said Monday.
Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Sanjay Kumar told PTI that the defendant Imran, who lives in the city, used to work in the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh. He had an affair with a 30-year-old woman.
It is alleged that he established physical relations with her after obtaining her consent by making a false promise of marriage, he said, adding that the defendant then took the woman to Delhi, where her friend raped her.
The woman has alleged that the accused kept her locked up in a place in Delhi. After managing to escape from there, she returned to her home in Chhattisgarh, where she filed a complaint with the Bastar police station, Kumar said.
Earlier, A man has been arrested in Delhi for kidnapping, raping and murdering an eight-year-old girl after she saw him in a compromising position with her mother, with whom he was in a relationship.
Police said the man, a butcher, also confessed to slitting the girl’s throat and mutilating her face and hiding her body in the Yamuna Khadar forest area in central Delhi.
Police Deputy Commissioner Shweta Chauhan said the man used to visit the victim’s house. The man, Rizwan alias Badshah, was born in Bihar and had come to Delhi 20 years ago for work.
