Why Rubika Liaquat left ABP and joined Bharat 24?

Renowned anchor and senior journalist Rubika Liyaquat has made headlines with her resignation from 'ABP News'. She has decided to venture into the world of entrepreneurship due to the absence of a salary increase in her previous organization, exchange4media reported.

Reports suggest that Liyaquat has received a lucrative offer from a recently launched Hindi news channel, despite her current state of difficulties. Her association with 'ABP News' lasted from 2018 till now.

Originally from Udaipur, Liyaquat completed her graduation from the University of Mumbai and has a BA in Mass Communication.

She started her career at 'Live India' and then joined 'News24' in 2008. Throughout her career, she has also worked with 'Zee News' and has been a familiar face in the media industry.

She previously wanted to create her own startup, but she accepted the offer to join Bharat 24.

Rubika Liyaquat joined Bharat24 as Vice President

Following her five-year tenure as a dynamic presenter at 'ABP News', Rubika Liyaquat has now joined Bharat24 as Vice President. Additionally, she is set to launch her own independent YouTube channel, according to reports from exchange4media.

Bharat24 Editor-in-Chief Jagdish Chandra confirmed the news, mentioning the channel's plan to build a strong team of seasoned professionals, starting with Liyaquat, as the upcoming election approaches. Bharat24, owned by the ETV group, aims to transition from a regional to a national platform.

The channel's launch in August last year, attended by influential figures including I&B minister Anurag Thakur and BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya, highlighted its vision of a "new India". Chandra stressed the importance of respecting the government as he considers the opposition's perspective.

Who is Rubika Liyaquat?

Rubika Liaquat, born on April 18 in Udaipur, Rajasthan, is an accomplished newscaster and journalist. She completed her studies at St. Gregorios Higher Secondary School in Udaipur and obtained a Bachelor of Media (Journalism) from the University of Mumbai.

She received a Bachelor of Mass Media in Journalism from Mumbai University. Serving as an anchor for Mumbai's news channel 24, she gained three months of experience in 2003. In 2005, Rubika successfully obtained her diploma and spent approximately two years seeking employment after graduation. Eventually, Live India extended her an opportunity to work in June 2007, where she remained until September 2008.

Rubika Liyaquat is a well-known senior journalist and presenter in the Indian media industry. She gained prominence through her television news work and has been associated with various news outlets throughout her career.

On April 28, 2012, Rubika married Naved Qureshi, also a journalist. The couple is blessed with a son and a daughter.

Rubika embarked on her professional career in 2007 as a news anchor on Live India. After working there until September 2008, she joined News 24 as a lead anchor and correspondent. She later joined Zee News, where she gained huge popularity for hosting the show "Taal Thok Ke". At Zee News, she served as lead anchor and editor, demonstrating her expertise in news reporting and analysis.
